A native of Lexington, joined the Prichard Committee in the fall of 2005, after spending 3 ½ years at the Mayor’s Training Center where she worked directly for the Executive Director, Arnold Gaither. She is currently assisting the Prichard Committee with its award winning Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership and the Center for Parent Leadership, its national prodigy. Alana’s expertise includes screening and testing, accessing resources, making referrals and recommendations and organizing executive meetings.
Alana’s greatest strength is her technological savvy. She has been involved in supporting the youth program and is well versed in the Workforce Investment Act. Alana’s volunteer activities have focused on assisting with the Back to School Rally and the Urban Academic Challenge. She is a member, in good standing, of the Knowledge in the Hood Book Club and works in the Projection Ministry and Sunday school at her church. Alana is married with 3 children and loves to collect movies.
