Nita Rudy, Project Manager, Center for Parent Leadership. 

Nita is the technical advisor to clients as they create their own parent leadership institutes.  She has helped develop parent leaders in Mississippi, Florida, North Carolina, Delaware, West Virginia, Texas, Michigan, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Washington, DC.   

Nita Rudy, before moving to Jackson, MS, served as the Manager for Parent Leadership Associates from January 2002-August 2002.  Prior to coming to PLA, Rudy was a Community Support Coordinator with the Prichard Committee’s Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership.  During that time, Rudy helped parents analyze school data and develop programs that would address the needs of the school, as those needs related to student achievement and parent involvement.     

Prior to her work with the Prichard Committee, Rudy was the general manager of DNR Technical Services, a consulting firm in the blasting and mining field.  She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University.
