What is the Groundswell?

The Groundswell Initiative is all about communities responding to the unique needs of students and families locally, to realize better outcomes in education – early childhood through postsecondary.

Groundswell members are the boots on the ground in a campaign to realize a Big, Bold Future for Kentucky – with education at the core.

Real, sustainable change happens locally – one child, one family, one neighborhood, one community at a time.

At the Prichard Committee, we commit to supporting you as a Groundswell member by sharing rich and important information with you that helps you act locally. We have curated resources relevant to our body of work in early childhood education, K-12, higher education and quality of life, that we hope will help you as you advocate locally and statewide for a Big Bold Future for Kentucky’s students. Click here to view our Groundswell Advocacy Toolbox.

We also commit to helping tell your story of local commitment and progress. Together, we hope to inspire others to join us, building a Groundswell for a Big Bold Future.

We hope you’ll join Kentuckians across the Commonwealth as, together, we build a Groundswell.

If you are already a Groundswell Initiative member and have Been working toward a Big Bold Future in your community, please tell us your story via this form!
