Holly Bloodworth, of Murray, has been selected to be a member of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence. Bloodworth spent more than 30 years in K-12 education and continues to serve Kentucky’s schools as a full-time faculty member at Murray State University. She is also a member of the Kentucky Board of Education.
The Prichard Committee is an independent, nonpartisan, citizen-led organization working to improve education in Kentucky – early childhood through postsecondary – so that we will achieve a better quality of life for all residents.
“Prichard Committee members believe public education is critical to the economic and social well-being of Kentucky,” said President & CEO Brigitte Blom Ramsey. “Holly is a dedicated educator who will work to inspire other Kentuckians to act on improving education outcomes at all levels and will be an asset to the committee.”
