Celebrate your school or program and families working together to support students!

Each November, schools and early care programs across the state come together to celebrate Family and Community Engagement in Education Week—a time dedicated to recognizing and strengthening the vital partnerships that support student success and child development.
This week is more than a celebration—it’s an opportunity. Every school and early care program is encouraged to create meaningful, locally tailored activities that deepen relationships with families and community partners.
Let’s use this week to highlight what’s working, build new connections, and create lasting impact—right where we are.

The Family and Community Engagement in Education Week Toolkit includes proclamations, an ideas bank, event information, and resources to help your school, program, or community celebrate locally.
Make the week your own! Use the resources below to plan activities, connect with others, and share your experiences.
Focused on family and community engagement, the Groundswell Summit celebrates place-based work happening across Kentucky and highlights partnerships that support student success. The Summit will recognize Family Friendly Schools, graduates of the Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership (CIPL), and the Beverly Raimondo Parent Leader of the Year.
