Jo Alyce Harper, of Trigg County, has been selected to be a member of the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence. Harper is employed by Valiant Government Services as their Corporate Assistant Controller. She began serving on Site-Based Decision-Making councils in the mid-90’s. She served on the elementary, middle and high school councils over the years. In 2009 she began her tenure as a Trigg County School Board member where she continues to serve as the board chair.
The Prichard Committee is an independent, nonpartisan, citizen-led organization working to improve education in Kentucky – early childhood through postsecondary – so that we will achieve a better quality of life for all residents.
“Prichard Committee members believe public education is critical to the economic and social well-being of Kentucky,” said Brigitte Blom Ramsey, President & CEO. “Jo Alyce will work to inspire other Kentuckians to act on improving education outcomes at all levels and will be an asset to the committee.”
