Kyle Jones

Kyle Jones has dedicated nearly two decades to educational leadership, rooted in his deep connection to Kentucky’s teaching community. A proud Kentuckian from a family of educators, he earned degrees in Environmental Science and Philosophy from Samford University before pursuing graduate studies at King’s College London, where he focused on environmental and education politics. He later completed coursework toward a PhD in social studies policy at Teachers College, Columbia University. Kyle’s career spans both public and private schools across Kentucky, where he taught AP and IB social studies at the high school level. Beyond the classroom, he has contributed to educational outreach through his work with the University of Kentucky’s College of Agriculture and Kentucky Educational Television. Guided by an agrarian sensibility and a community-first approach, he is committed to ensuring equitable opportunities for all Kentucky students. Kyle lives in Old Louisville with his spouse, McKay, a public high school English teacher, and their son, Silas.
